DOG HEALTH AND THE RISE IN CANCER

Over the last couple of years, I have become increasingly alarmed at how many of my friends have lost their pets to cancer.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs and it’s on the rise. Did you know that one in three domestic dogs will develop some form of cancer which is roughly about the same incidence of cancers among men?

Our dogs and cats develop a variety of cancers and is very similar to those found in humans. Just like in humans, modern conveniences, processed foods and medicines are contributing factors.

So, the question is, “How can we help give our pets the best chance against developing cancer”?

I am of the belief that “Food is Medicine” for people as well as our pets.

Most dog food today is hard for pets to digest because of fillers like corn and wheat, preventing our pets from getting the proper nutrients they need.

They need “clean food” like humans to helptheir immune system fight off diseases like cancer with grain- free, low-carbohydrate dog food and treats filled with nutrients, natural vitamins, Omega 3, 6, 9 fish oils which help with skin, coat, joints, heart and brain health.

It’s also extremely important to reduce your dog’s chemical exposure. So many chemicals your pet is exposed to is in your home and outdoor areas that cause cancer.

If you treat your home or lawn with chemical pesticides you’re exposing yourself as well as your pet to toxins that are carcinogenic.

After I take my pups for a walk I always wipe down their paws, and underbelly to get rid of any chemical residue they may have picked up in the neighborhood.

My brother Gino, shares my concerns and in fact has been tackling this issue for several years. He started a company called Bucky Bites that distributes “Bucky Bites All-Natural Antler Chews”. These are pet treats for dogs with the scientific research to back it up. The antlers are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and calcium.

The positive impact that Bucky Bites has had with dogs and their owners lead Gino to another new and exciting venture, Pet Club 247.

Pet Club 247 mission is to change the pet industry and to develop a better way to provide our pets with good, wholesome and healthy products.
