Recently I decided to make a life change when it came to refined sugar in my diet and have been creating recipes that are not only good for you but can curb your sweet tooth by replacing processed ingredients with heart healthy choices to help fuel your  body and energy through out the day.

One of my guiltiest pleasures is a Reese Peanut Butter Cup and not wanting to give them up completely I whipped up this low calorie Peanut Butter and Chocolate Shake so I can continue to get my fix 😉 but feed my body, mind and soul.

Make 4 cups

¼ cup organic crunchy peanut butter

1-cup chocolate coconut almond milk

1-teaspoon vanilla

1- cup ice cubs

1 banana (cut 4 thin slices for garnish)

4 miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups sliced in half

8 fresh mint leaves

2 teaspoons cocoa nibs*

Place the first 5 ingredients into a blender and blend for 30 second until smooth and creamy.

Garnish each serving with a banana slice, fresh mint, 1 teaspoon cocoa nibs, and the peanut butter cup.

*If you can’t find cocoa nibs, use chocolate chips lightly chopped.

What’s your guiltiest food pleasure?

Thank you for this ~ it is something I can eat that will be sweet but good for me. I can not use artificial sweeteners that so many things call for.

I’m doing the same thing (less sugar)…hard for me to get my veggies in my daily diet. I’m drinking LOTS of green juice, and I’m going to try this for my treat! As soon as I make it, I’ll let you know, but this sounds like it’s going to be a winner:)
